STORY BEHIND THE DISH:
My dad, Alfred Wiemers, always enjoyed these cookies. He liked the cinnamon because he liked raisins, and he loved the smell of the cinnamon while they were baking.
| INGREDIENTS: | |

cups sugar |
1 cup raisins |
1
cup butter or lard (Oleo) |
2
tsp cinnamon |
2
eggs |
2
level tsp baking powder |
1
tsp soda in 2 Tbl sour cream or evaporated milk (no soda w/ sweet cream) |
3
cups flour |
1
cup pecans |
pinch
of salt |
DIRECTIONS:
Cream together sugar and butter. Add eggs, then soda mixture. In a separate bowl, combine cinnamon, baking powder, flour, and salt. Add pecans and raisins. Combine butter and egg mixture with the dry ingredients. Drop about 3/4 tsp dough on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 deg F for 10-12 min.
